I will always do my best to fulfill your needs and meet your expectations, but having things in writing ensures we both know and have a record of what we've agreed upon, who is responsible for what and when, and what will happen if something goes wrong.
Overview:
The contract will feature detailed descriptions of what Graphic Design, Illustration, and/or Animation Service(s) I will be providing for you and the estimated total price of the project as decided in our previous correspondence.
Payment
Before the project can be started, a deposit payment of 50% of the total agreed price is required. The final 50% will be paid upon satisfactory completion of the project, with ownership rights only being transferred after the project is paid in full.
I will issue an electronic invoice within 24 hours of completion of the project and payments will be due 15 days from the date of invoice.
Changes and revisions
I don’t want to limit your ability to change your mind. The price at the beginning of this contract is based on the estimated time needed to accomplish what we decided upon, but I’m happy to be flexible. If you want to change your mind or add anything new, that won’t be a problem as I’ll provide a separate estimate for that additional time.
Termination
If at any time you aren't happy with how the project is going and no longer what to continue, you may terminate the contract. I will keep the 50% deposit for the time spent on the project until that point.
Legal stuff
I’ll carry out our work in accordance with good industry practice and at the standard expected from a suitably qualified person with relevant experience. That said, I can’t guarantee that my work will be error-free and so I can’t be liable to you or any third-party for damages, including lost profits, lost savings or other incidental, consequential or special damages, even if you’ve advised me of them.
Your liability to me will also be limited to the amount of fees payable under this contract and you won’t be liable to me or any third-party for damages, including lost profits, lost savings or other incidental, consequential or special damages, even if I’ve advised you of them.
Finally, if any provision of this contract shall be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from this contract and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
